Playstation 4 Announcements !!!!!

 

 

Yesterday (Wednesday 20th 2013) at the Playstation Conference 2013 at 11pm (GMT). Sony's conference was held in New York and invited 1200 guests to witness the future generation of gaming and what Sony has in store for the world.

1.) Playstation 4 Announced | Specs Includes:

X86 CPU
Enhanced GPU
8GB of High-Speed RAM
Local HDD

Sony also showed a glimpse of the new interface that Playstation 4 consoles would have. Sony's aim is to make gaming an experience which gamers have never had before. Also to make them feel as if they are in the game themselves. Sony have designed the Playstation 4 to be like a social hub or network communicating with friends at all times.

2.) Dualshock 4 Announced
Functionality:
Suspend/Resume Functions
Stream games from Playstation Store before you buy.
Digital titles are playable even when downloading.
Share gameplay live
Share button allows for social interaction in real time from asking help to actual live assistance
Partnered with UStream with multicast capabilities.
Remote Play with PS Vita (Goal: Every PS4 game playable on PS Vita)
Netflix, Amazon Instant, Facebook and Playstation Plus coming

4.) Playstation Cloud and Gaikai
Gaikai wants the ability to play PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE games on PS Cloud
Cloud Services will roll out in phases
The Vision: "Everything, Everywhere"

Grand Theft Auto V Announce Date Revealed!!!

Rockstar Games has now revealed the RELEASE DATE for Grand Theft Auto V (a.k.a GTA V)!!! But there is some bad news too...

GTA V was supposed to be released on May 17th 2013 which shows that my sources were right if you read my previous blog on GTA V (click here to read it) but Rockstar have pushed the release date 4 months forward!! So now GTA V will be releasing on September 17th 2013. This has left many Grand Theft Auto fans disappointed and waiting for longer. Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC

Black Ops 2 will be releasing its first DLC (down loadable content) for Xbox 360 on January 29th 2013. The PS3 and PC version of the Revolution Map Pack will be released a month after preferably on the 28th February 2013 (or March 1st).

The Revolution Map Pack will consist of:

• 4 new multiplayer maps (Hydro, Downhill, Mirage and Grind)
• New Zombies Map called Die Rise
• New Zombies game mode called Turned
• DLC gun called the Peacemaker SMG

It is the first time that Treyarch have created a new game mode for zombies which is available for download and the first time that Treyarch are giving a Zombies Map with Multiplayer Maps (correct me if I'm wrong!)

 

To get the Revolution Map Pack you will have to purchase and download the Black Ops 2 Season Pass which cost £41.99 in the UK and once you have purchased the Season Pass you will get the Nuketown Zombies Map which you can only get If you purchase the season pass like myself and millions of other people :P The Nuketown Zombies map will be persuading most people if not all to purchase the season pass.

To install Nuketown Zombies Map you will have to:

1. First Purchase and Install the Season Pass
2. Go to the Black Ops 2 Game Menu and then Multiplayer
3. Go to play online and then at the bottom it will say store
4. It will then say Themes and Map Packs, go to map packs and let it load then Nuketown zombies will appear alongside with the Season Pass and then just click on Nuketown Zombies and there you have it just wait for it to download and install and enjoy the game.

Hey everyone apologies for not posting recently as I have been busy with coursework and other stuff but I will carry on posting and  keeping you up to date with the latest games and gadgets releasing in the near future so look out!!

The Last Of Us

The Last Of Us is a PlayStation 3 exclusive which is scheduled to be released worldwide on May 7th 2013. The Last Of Us is a survival horror action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog. The Last Of Us was officially announced on December 10th 2011 during the 9th Video Game Awards (VGA).

The game has two main characters, the two survivors of the post-apocalyptic America are Joel and Ellie.

Joel is an adult who is a brutal survivor and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years. The pair must work together if they hope to survive their journey across the US.

The Last Of Us was nominated for the Most Anticipated PS3 Game of the Year at VGA, but unfortunately lost to Grand Theft  Auto V (GTA V).

Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 (PS3). it is the third instalment of the Far Cry series following from Far Cry 2 which was released in 2008.

Far Cry 3's release was delayed because of the developer's editing and completing the final version of the game and was supposed to be released on September 4th 2012 for North America and September 6th 2012 for Europe. However it was released on November 29th 2012 for Australia, November 30th 2012 for Europe and December 4th 2012 for North America.

Far Cry 3 is an open world first person shooter game, set on a tropical Island somewhere around the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The main objective of the game is to rescue your kidnapped friends and escape from the Islands and its insane Inhabitants.  

IGN gave the game a 9.0/10 complimenting the game's excellent cast of characters, unpredictable enemy encounters, and its open world environment.

Official Playstation Magazine (UK) and Official Xbox Magazine both gave Ubisoft's Far Cry 3 also a 9/10.

Nintendo Wii U

Nintendo's new video games console the Wii U, released November 18th

2012 in North America, November 30th 2012 in Europe and Australia and it will be released in Japan on December 8th 2012.

The Wii U comes in two different colours: 

• White Wii U Basic Console
• Black Premium/Deluxe Console

Nintendo Wii U can support high-definition graphics and produce 1080p video output.

• 2GB RAM
• White coloured console has 8GB of Internal flash storage 
• Black coloured console has 32GB flash storage.
•  The controller is a 6.2 inch touchscreen Wii U Game Pad
• An Alternative controller can be used, called the Wii U Pro Controller

The Wii U is backwards compatible with the first console the Wii and the Wii accessories (peripherals) may also work with the Wii U such as the Nunchuck, and Wii Remote Plus. 

Nintendo GameCube soon will be available to download via Nintendo's Virtual Console Service. 

The Wii U Game Pad has an Off TV Play feature which is basically playing specific supported games which allow you to play games without the use of the TV, this is a new feature to consoles of today.

Nintendo Wii U Games to expect from E3 2012:

Hitman: Absolution

Hitman: Absolution is an action-adventure stealth game which was released on Tuesday November 20th 2012 which is the 47th week of the year (in reference to Agent 47). Hitman: Absolution was developed by IO interactive and published by Square Enix. Hitman: Absolution is the 5th instalment of the Hitman series.

Hitman: Absolution will be released on the following platforms:

• Microsoft Windows
• PS3
• Xbox
• Cloud (OnLine)

The complaints about the game is that the game experienced crashing, freezing and corrupting file saves on the PS3 and the Xbox 360, rendering many of the games unplayable.

IGN gave Hitman: Absolution a 9/10 and also stating: "It’s nice to have a game that doesn’t just encourage improvisation; it requires it".
